With sales of more than 310,000 copies per month, Spotlight Verlag is the leading publisher of language magazines in Europe.

Spotlight Verlag, based near Munich, publishes seven magazines in five languages. The flagship publication, the English-language magazine Spotlight, was first published in 1981. It was followed in 1984 by Écoute in French, in 1991 by Ecos de España y Latinoamérica in Spanish, and three years later by Adesso in Italian. The success story continued with the launch of the English-language youth magazine Spot on in 1999, and two years later of the business English publication Business Spotlight, which is now published on a bimonthly basis. The most recent addition to the Spotlight family, Deutsch perfekt, was launched in 2005 to serve the market for German as a foreign language. The Spotlight Verlag magazines offer their readers first-hand information on current social and political developments in the countries where the respective languages are spoken. Using language and vocabulary aids, grammar tips and exercise cards, readers can freshen up their language skills and improve their fluency. Spotlight also offers audio CDs and audio downloads to help readers improve their listening comprehension and pronunciation. Seven websites containing news, tips and language tests, with content updated daily, round off the Spotlight product range. And at Spotlight’s sprachenshop.de, language products are just a click away: textbooks, original-language books, DVDs, games and much more. The online community dalango.de, which went live in December 2008, offers foreign language training via video.
