The portfolio of the Holtzbrinck Digital Strategy segment (formerly known as Holtzbrinck Networks) consists of internet companies that have already reached a certain maturity and are of strategic importance for the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group.
The internet offerings in this area are targeted directly at individual users (B2C) and are mainly active in the classified, content, communities, services and e-commerce spaces. The companies have profitable business models and have already achieved a significant market position. In its Strategy segment, Holtzbrinck Digital invests in proven internet concepts that can be developed over the long term as the companies and markets mature.
Its core regional markets are the German-speaking countries as well as western and eastern Europe, although the international expansion of individual portfolio companies, depending on their stage of development, may also take in other countries. The segment’s aim is to establish sustainably profitable internet businesses and to anchor them firmly within the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group, without foregoing the benefits of a decentralised structure.
